Hi All

Does any one know the procedure to acquire CDN's in Call Pilot 1.07?

I have created the CDN and I have run config Wizard and rebooted, but this hasn't done the trick. There are already CDN's acquired, but this was done before I took over the system.

Many thanks

The callpilot should aquire after you go through the setup. If it doesn't aquire the TN's then there is something wrong in your setup. Do you have the documentation for seting up the Callpilot ACD and agents?

Hi Broeking

The Call pilot ACD and agents are ok. I'm talking about acquiring further CDN's within Call Pilot.
My system already has additional CDN's acquired and I want to acquire some more, so that I can duplicate an existing call flow for testing purposes.
The reason that I need the CDN's acquired, is that if I use default CDN's or phantoms, then I have a problem with the voicemail tag when sending calls in and out of call pilot and symposium, using various CDN's.

Also the MERL for Call Pilot 1.07 has nothing on this, neither does the Nortel install/maintenance course notes for 1.07 or 2.02. But it must be possible, as I can see these additional CDN's acquired on my system!

As I recall in 1.07, that was in Control Panel - Telephony - Telephony Drivers. One of those was for Call Pilot, and you could enter CDNs and TNs for your ports. A reboot is necessary for Call Pilot to acquire. Nortel "strongly urges" that you not use CDNs beyond the voice and multimedia necessary ones, and use phantoms and dummy ACD queues for all other uses -- that makes me think the system may not handle a large number of CDNs very well (but I don't know that).

Hi Sandyml

Thanks for your help - I have found it on my system and I can see that I have 12 CDN's configured! I was planning to add another 3 or 4. I might need to speak to the Project Manager on this and find a work around.

Cheers

be sure not to answer yes at the CNTL when programming the cdn.once you run config wizard and reboot it should acquire.
