how do I access the bios on a proliant ml530 g1

If you have the SmartStart partition installed on the server, you can press F10 during post boot (you will be prompted just before the OS starts to load if the SmartStart Partition is on the server). If not, you will have to boot from the SmartStart CD - if memory serves you have to use SmartStart v5.5 for an ML530 G1
