When an employee leaves our company, I'm supposed to put their files and OE email into a folder that their supervisors have access to. I know how to do that, but I'm wondering how the supervisor is going to be able to look at the emails in those .dbx files. Is there a way to see the emails in those folders?
TIA,
Jill

The easiest way would be to import them into the reader's regular mail client - into some subfolder would be best for organization.

I just want to make sure this is what you are saying should work. In the supervisor's email, I create a folder in Local Folders named 'Rick" for instance. Then I drag his .dbx files into that folder. Right?
Thanks,
Jill

That would be nice, but OE doesn't quite work that way. Import is required

rename the former employee's .dbx files so that they won't import into the supervisor's regular mail folders.... something like formeremployee_inbox.dbx, formeremployee_sent items.dbx;, etc. Then use OE's import function (found in the file menu).
