How do I accept two times & prints the difference

Hi,
I am Newie in Lotus Notes & I want to know how would I find a difference between two time. Following are the details..
I want to accept two timings from the user & store it in the variable, say "checkin" & "checkout".
Now I want to get the difference between the timings of variable "checkin" & variable "checkout" in the variable "Diff".
Finally I want to print the difference i.e. contents of variable diff.
Please help me..

Hi,

I haven't use this function before but can't see any reason why it wouldn't work. The lotusscript TimeDifference method is supposed to calculate the difference between 2 date/time values and return a value in seconds. This may be worth a look.
