Im confused, How do cards count and what is the relation to the line # and trunk number or is it just made up? Example would be if i had a T1 card in slot 7 how do i know what trunk numbers to assign to the channels

Thanks

Modules count from the Left to the right with the PROCESSOR considered number ZERO. Thus, the first carrier can hold 5 slots, the 2nd and 3rd, 6 each. (Power Units do not count)

Therefore, the one you are calling slot 7, should be the 2nd card in the 2nd carrier.

The 100-D, of what ever variety counts as 24 trunk ports, even if you only use 3 channels.

The trunk numbers for your slot 7 would depend on the number of line ports you have ahead of it.

So, if you had 3 408 cards (of what ever variety) ahead of your slot 7, (and some number of STATION cards) then the first trunk in that card would be trunk 13, or 813 using the default numbering of the system.

You can find this out by using WINSPM and going Sys Program—Start—more—print—Trunk Info-General. This report will give you the line numbers for each by the slot/port number in the system. Here is an excerpt from this report, it lists the trunk and then the slot port number 1/1 is slot 1 port 1 etc….

The Magix can have a total of 80 lines/trunks and each trunk is give a number from 801-880. The trunks are assigned from left to right based on when the modules are in your system. This numbering included Modules with lines ONLY such ass 412, 800, 100DCD etc. For example if you had a 412 in slot 2 and 412 in slot 5 and a 100DCD in slot 7 the line/trunk assignments would be
801-804 for the first 412, 805-808 for the second 412, and 809-832 for the 100DCD

For more information I would take a look at the system numbering planning forms: line/trunks which are pages 2c-1 to 2c-4
