I have somehow suppressed my entire report if there is no data. I was trying to create a text box to display when no records were found but somehow I don't have anything when I run a no record query, including the text box. The report looks fine with data. I have removed my test box with the suppression formula and I have checked to make sure the "Suppress if no records" is unchecked in the options and check all my sections for anything I missed. Anyone have an idea on where else to look?

Do you have a record suppression or record selection formula? Perhaps you have really suppressed or filtered out every single record and Crystal is just doing what it was told to do?

You say I was trying to create a text box to display when no records were found. If you mean that you want an indication that the report has validly run and validly found nothing, then do the following:

Create a section that says "No details found", in the report footer.

Right-click on the section and choose Format Section. Then choose the formula icon (x+2 and a pencil) for suppression.
Test not isnull({your.field})

The section will appear when there were no records and otherwise be suppressed.

If it's a case of records being found but not reported, you'd need to do a count of those that are reported and suppress the section when the count is not zero. A running total should be suitable for that.
