How connect to MySQL server via ODBC adn Datastage under Linux?

DataStage come with DataDirect ODBC client, set this up and you can connect to almost any ODBC compliant DB on any platform. You can also install a MySQL client on the DS server to test connections outside of DataStage. You might want to look into Map Stage. Should be free with DS. Much easier transforms and in some cases faster.
