HOW CONFIGURE A 2104 MODEL TL1 STORAGE DISK IN RAID5 UNDER AIX 4.3.3 1

I want to configure a 2104 Model TL1 storage disk in RAID5 under AIX 4.3.3.

How can i do (unix command) ?

Where i can found documentation ?

What type of SCSI adapter is it connected to ?

An RS/6000 uses one of the following SCSI adapters to connect to the 2104 Model DL1 or 2104 Model TL1:

PCI SCSI-2 F/W RAID Adapter (Feature Code 2493 Type Number 4-8)

PCI 3-Channel Ultra2 SCSI RAID Adapter (Feature Code 2494 Type Number 4-T)

PCI Single-Ended Plus SCSI RAID Adapter (Feature Code 6208 Type Number 4-A)

You'll need one of these adapters to run RAID on this unit.

I also would like some info. on adding 2 new 36.4GB drives into my 2104-DL1.....I have them installed right now as 2 spares....i need to get them added as hdisk6, the pair will be running RAID1?

if you are using one of the mentioned above adapters.. should be quite ez .... just go to smitty devices... then PCI.. you can find your options there to allocate this new disks inside the 2104 and set it as mirrored..

my Hot Plug Manager has never worked, in fact before OS level patches it crashed the box everytime it was run. We have use diagnostics to do this apparently??
