Hi,

I have 3 browsers installed (Netscape, IE and Opera).

Another application requires Netscape or IE, in order to be launched properly.
Since Opera is my standard browser, this application does not work.
How can I define e.g. Netscape as my standard browser for my Win2k system ?

Any tip will be appreciated.
Cheers
Eili

Two possibilities, first and easiest, open netscape, it should prompt you to make it the default browser. If it doesn't, which means you checked the option to not be asked again at one point or another, it gets a little more fun. With Netscape closed, what you need to do is open the file prefs.js and locate the line "user_pref("browser.wfe.ignore_def_check", true )" , (without the outside quotes). This line may not be exact depending on a number of factors, but you won't be able to mistake it. Change the last arguement of the line to false and next time you open netscape it will state that it is not the default browser, would you like to make it. Good luck
