I have a date that I purchased fuel on. I want to lookup an effective date column either exactly or approximately to give me the appropriate rate.
Eg
Rate Eff Rate
01/01/02 .1
01/02/02 .2
01/03/02 .3
01/04/02 .4

Purchase date = 15/01/02
Rate should = .1
The Excel equivalent is Vlookup(PurchDate,Range,2)

I hope someone out there has overcome this issue.

one might either resort to retro fitting into excel or start reading material on relational data base concepte and / or SQL.

PICKLES,

Do some research on the DLookup database function in Access help. You should be able to use this to accomplish your needs.
