How can you patch a private network ?

How do you update, patch and keep your operating systems up-to-date on a private network with no Internet access? Can you store the updates on the server and pull then from the clients? If so, can someone give me some help and explain how to do this?

You could put the updates in a folder and install them using a logon script.

Personally i would look into WSUS would be a way to make one box see the internet temporarily once a month? This would give you the advantage of reporting features.

You can run WSUS in disconnected mode apparently, if you take a look at the MS WSUS deployment page it will run you through it.
