I am using BrightStor ARCserv Backup for Linux Release 11.5 SP 3 (Build 2427). Linux Version Redhat 4.0.
Tape drive being used is Adic Faststor 2 Lto2.

The question I have is when running a backup or after a backup has completed. Is how to tell what capacity has been used on tape?

I am from a Networker world and you were able to get that information from the command line or the GUI (Nwadmin/Volumes) I was able to get a persentage used and what was actually written to tape. Is there a way to get this information?

Thanks in Advance.

1st off with compression drives it is of limited value since space remaining is based off the native capacity.

In the GUI go to Report Manager.
Click on the desired tape under Media Records Report.
It will show number of blocks written and block size.
