I added some test dlls I made to my Project References which I now wish I could remove from the References menu. While I've learned to use regsvr32 in the command prompt to register and then unregister a dll, I haven't been able to get rid of all the Reference list entries I made before I started using regsvr32. Does anybody know a way to eliminate bad entries from the Project References list?

Thanks.

I've tried this and I found that the dll in question was removed from my reference list.

I have two questions now...
Do use regsvr with the following syntax to unregister a dll
regsvr32 dllpath\file.dll /u 'this should work

Are you working with a project group?

Josh

I'm not in any Project Group.

I have been using "regsvr32 <file path + file name> /u" since I learned something about what I was doing. And, it seems to work. But apparently I made some kind of mistake earlier, because I now have some Project Reference entries this method doesn't eliminate. I use "regsvr32 <file path + file name> /u", and I get a message box telling me the operation succeeded, but even completely shutting down the PC and restarting it doesn't delete the reference.

Thanks for your help though.
