Hey guys,

I have a form on an Access 2003 database that needs to be update. The form displays a text box with a file path inside the text box. I need to change the file path.

For the life of me, I can't see where to do this. I switch to design view, and the box says Unbound. I click on Properties and nowhere does it show the file name path. Can anyone help? I don't even know what Unbound means. Total noob here.

Look at the On Open property of the the form. Its possible that the value in the control is set at that point.

Open the VBA IDE and do a search for the textbox name - it could be populated in code.

Its probably set with vba. Look in the properties of the control or more than likely the form for an event proceedure.

Open the module by clicking the little box with 3 dots on the right hand sided next to the event with "event proceedure" The code window will open. All of the Subs for the form will be shown. Look for the file path or better yet paste the code in the forum so those with vba knowledge can show you specifically what to change otherwise you may render your form useless.

Thanks guys. IT did indeed have a lot of VB coding. I changed the path in the code, and it worked!

Yet another TT success story! [cheers]
