How can we add attributes to a document via Enterprise Web service

In Livelink 9.7.1, the web service can be used to create a new document with an attached file. What I want to do is to add some attributes to the document in the meta data object?

The Metadata object has an AttributeGroups object that maintains some attribute groups. One attribute group has many values associated, but it looks like those values can be be assigned via the web service with .NET. Any idea?
