Grids are created with default text boxes in each column. I want a check box in some of my columns, and know how to add these and select them using CurrentControl. However, I can't see any way to delete the original text box.

Any ideas anyone ?

Hi!

Do following:
Select properties window (activate it). In the combobox with list of the controls find your grid column and select that darn text box. Than activate form, but carefully - by clicking on its caption only (to do not select something else). Press 'Del' key - you're there.
