How can see what kind of program are installed using vbscript?

you can see what software has been installed using windows installer. there is a WMI software class which gains access to this.
however if software has been installed using other method you might have want to try and return all exe files. not fool proof but there you go. again, wmi can search through all folders/files and return a collection based on things like *.exe
