Have to agree. Not enough information. Particularly the fields part. What fields can you have in a Wordpad file, because as MakeItSo notes, it is not a .doc file.

Are you talking about a .wpd file? If so, that is a WordPerfect 6.x (or higher version) file.
If it s a .wpd file then you can open it and edit it in Word using the File ->Open command in Word 2003 or the Office Button ->Open command in Word 2007. Navigate to the folder that contains the file and then select "WordPefect 6.x (*.wpd;*.doc)" from the "Files of type:" drop down menu. After editing you'll have to save the document as a .doc or .docx file. You won't be able to save it as a .wpd file.
