My financial accounting package is SQL 7.0 database. My files from the bank export to comma separated values (.csv). I want to change a field in my SQL table to 'Y' if the check number in the SQL table is found in the 5th field across in the .csv file. Is there any way to get the .csv file into a temp table without resorting to using Access?

I have another similar opportunity where I get payroll data in a spacially delimited file. If I could get this into a table as one field then I think I could break it out from there with mid( , , ).

Seems like there must be a way to use these delimited and csv files with SQL. What am I missing?
