Hello:
I want to upgrade AIX from 4.3.2 to 4.3.3 without losing any old data.
If we use "smit update_all", does it preserve my old data? Do we need to "mksysb"? If so, how can we do this?

smitty update_all is sufficient AND safe for what you desire to do. Just take a mksysb first.

It might not be a bad idea to be sure you have some 4.3.1 maintenance applied first.

Bill.

it will be fine its only a ML
do a mksysb -i /dev/rmt0 if you like
