How can I update tlogs manually?

We have goldmine 8.5 and I would like to sync some data from our ERP software into some custom fields in GM. This part is not an issue, the issue is when a user syncs they don't see the change because the tlogs didn't denote a change.
Does anyone know how to update the tlogs so the next time a user syncs they get the updated record?

Hi

You need to use the API to update the fields rather than updating them directly in SQL.
