Hello all,

I have a proxy server behind a firewall. I do not have any control over the firewall, so I like to know, how I can update the ports through the firewall.

I can issue the command cvsup -g -L 2 /locationWherePortcvsupfile is located.

Now how can set the cvs to go through the firewall.

Meaning specifing the address of the firewall and the port.

Thanks everyone.

Thanks for the reply.

I tried what you mentioned

cvsup -P - stable-supfile

I get a window.

Should I type anything in the filter field?

Where do I specify the firewall ip address or the proxy server Ip address?

Thanks very much

howdy,
afaik, there's no need for the proxy server or any ip address. why? well, if your box goes online ( and it's behind fw) no need to setup nothing else. -P means to make it passive ( stay on port 21/20) and most of the fw's will aloud that. i'll use -P - (- means select passive mode).
no need to change something in the in the filter . just hit the green ( play, go, arrow) button and see what's happening.
