How can I transfer or move formulas from one report to another report without rebuilding the formula?

Have the formula on the report somewhere and copy and paste it to a new report. Normally you can do several formulas a time.

In the more recent versions at least, it is possible to copy and paste formulas, parameters etc from where they appear on the Design Tab of one report to the Design Tab of another report. In older versions, I recall this did not work - parameters would need to be recreated but for formulas the actual code could be copied from an existing formula in one report to a new formula in another report.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
Pete

I can copy formulas but not parameters. Can someone explain why?

I'm using Crystal Reports XI version.

Thanks.

A little testing shows I can do a copy and paste of parameters in CR 2011, but not CR XI. Guess it is only allowable on a newer version.

I am able to copy parameters (and formulas) in Crystal 2010.
