We have an IBM P550 with AIX 5.2-06.
These days I find that ent0's data throughput much more than normal (ent0 si the service ethernet card)
I want to know how can I trace or view the content of this throughput .
I can do this by some tools under windows flatform , but under windows flatform how can I do this ?

Hello,

netstat -nr

netstat -i

iostat

Hope this help

you can use tcpdump and/or ethereal to see the content of your network packets .

iptrace and ipreport are the AIX provided tools for what you want to do. They provide output on a packet by packet basis. Very tedious to look through on a busy system but 100% detailed.
