We are running a Dell power edge 1855 dual 3.6 Ghz machine with only 1 GB of memory.
We are running MS Active Directory with 130,000 objects and using 3 different machines to concurrently process about 1,000,000 LDAP lookups a day.
After about a week our LDAP became qwirky..some results said didnt exist, searching again later and they were found.
I reduced the load and am doing perf monitoring, but I dont know what would be the maximum or to tell if its falling behind?
For example, ldap max searches/sec maxed at 32 with 1 of 3 boxes quering it. How much is too much? What else should I be monitoring? Disk seems okay and memory is 1/2 used.
