Can i control the Content of Websites that Users can view?
I Understand it to be an Internet Explorer Configuration but cannot seem to find where i can configure the Content that my Viewers are allowed to See.

You'd really need a 3rd-party solution such as SuperScout or CyberPatrol for this. At one site I worked at, they disallowed all sites until a business need was presented via the managers for particular sites. It makes sense - if you don't KNOW that they need it, then they don't.

This is possibly draconian - but even with such software implemented, some adult sites can be accessed - and some innocent sites can be blocked.

There are other utilities, but this has been the most effective and tailorable one I've used.

Hope this helps

I've tested a lot of these applications as well and Websense turned out to be the best application. You can download a trial version if you want to run some tests with it... I have not failed, I just found 10000 ways that don't work

Along with the good software options:

Do you have a usage policy for your company that specifically says they are NOT to use the Internet to connect to "offensive material" such as porn sites, etc.?

For that matter if you did, do your users know that they are not allowed to do this by penalty up to and including termination?

Even better, go and show that user that YOU know where they are going! J.R. Juiliano

I'll second what Jrjuiliano has... Usage policys are the most effective. I have presented the managers of offending employees with logs of connections to various adult/non work related sites and they have been dealt with swiftly. If they are aware of the consequences, I doubt they will risk it.

I Think Whats More worrying for me is that two of the culprits are Managers!!
I Would Rather Just Prevent it From Happening, moreso Because I Know they would be Too Embarrassed to Bring it up in Conversation that they Couldn't Access any Adult Sites.

Since two of the culprits are managers, you could always just keep quiet until the next time you need a pay rise...;-)
