There are a couple types of image borders. To get rid of the normal kind use this css rule:
img a { border:0; }
The other type of border is one browsers use to highlight a selected link. For example if press the left mouse button on a link and move the mouse away from the link before letting go, that link becomes highlighted. You can then press the tab key to highlight the next link or enter to activate the link. Most browses won't remove this type of border no matter what you do.
