How can I start to use VB in Crystal Report?

Hi! All,

I have several months' experience in Crystal Report 8.5 and know quite a lot about CR itself. Now I want to combine the VB and CR. Problem is that I am a unix people before and know nothing about VB. Where can I start?

Do I need to install any development environment for VB?
Can I download some basic developer's guide?
Or any advice you think helpful.

Appreciate any comment.

CR Developer comes with samples, and there are lots of resources on the WEB.

One of the strongest contributors here, Ken Hamady, has a very modestly priced tutorial that gets great reviews:

The George Peck book is also pretty useful (Seagate Crystal Reports 8.0 - the complete reference). He also has a great book on Cr8.5, but the 8.0 has more stuff on VB integration.

However the 8.5 book does have a chapter on VS.NET integration. So it depends on which direction you are going? Editor and Publisher of Crystal Clear
