Hello,
I'm trying to split a Directv signal from one box in my house to another. Currently i'm using a basic splitter. The room i'm trying to get the signal to is wired through the attic to the main room across the hall. Theoretically this should work however, every time I turn on the television in either room, a screen pops up saying "searching for signal on satellite 2", I only have one satellite. some channels don't even work at all. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards, Kevin

I have Direct TV, with the oval dish on the roof, connected directly to the old cable box and have 4 tvs. Only 2 have HD boxes. I wanted to split the signal from the tv in the master bedroom (easiest cable run) to the pool deck to watch tv outside but would prefer to let the people at the pool watch something different from the bedroom.

What is the best way to wire 5 TVs to the HD Dish?

How can I fix what I have until I can fix it the right way?

Thanks for the help
