We are running Crystal Enterprise 9 - ePortfolio Lite.

When anyone runs a report on the webserver it ask for a User Id and Password for the ODBC connection.

How can I automate it so the end user doesn't have to enter in a User Id and Password?

Thanks,

Bob Schleicher

you need to change the login credentials to on the "Crystal Page Server" Service and the "Crystal Program Job Server" service on the express server. You need to use administrator credentials. For me, because I'm using Active Directory authentication, I used an AD admim credentials.

Is there a way to edit my post?...

anyway, this may explain it better.

Change the “Logon As” for the “Crystal Page Server” Service, “Crystal Program Job Server” Service, “Crystal Report Job Server” service and “Crystal Web Components Server” service to use domain admin credentials. To do this go to start menu --> Programs --> Administrative Tools --> Services. Double click the service you want to change, Select the “Log On” tab, Select “This Account” and enter credentials. When entering the user name use “domain\username” format.

The only service I have for my server is "Report Application Server" so I changed that to an Admin account and it worked.

Thank you VERY much.
