I'm running Redhat Linux 9.0 on my PC, and i want to set up an LDAP addressbook for use with Mozilla, so that i can have my personal contacts available from anywhere. The problems i'm running into are many and manifold, not least of which is an admittedly botched initial attempt at doing so, which i have not been able to clean up.
My questions are as follows:
1) How can i remove all of the changes i've made to the current LDAP setup - clear out the DB, reset it all to default state (rpm -e might do some of it, but rpm tends to leave configs, and i don't know where all of those are)
2) How can i set up an addressbook where not all of the individuals have an organization in common? I know there's a namespace setup involved, but i confess that i don't really follow how it works?
3) What sorts of schema do i need so that i can properly import a Mozilla-generated ldif file? This is probably related to the previous question.
Any answers to this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
