How can I run cgi-scripts with a .htm extension ???

Hi ,

I want to run some cgi-scripts with a .htm extension instead of a .cgi extension

Somebody said something about a .htaccess file.
My knowhow is to little to tell my hosting company what to do.

Is there somebody that can tell me more?
Can somebody send me a copy of a working .htaccess file?
