How do I use a second cable modem in my house?

For what? Is your intent to allow a second computer to access the internet connection? If so, get a personal router / home gateway device and create a network of computers with only 1 intenet (cable) connection.

Why would you want to? If you're just trying to share the network connection, there are better solutions.

If it is possible, I don't think it will work without purchasing a second account with your cable ISP.
