Hello,

I am trying to restore onbar backup to another machine, however the SERVERNUM is already used on the other machine.

Is this possible - anyone have any ideas?
I know to modify onconfig + rename the $INFORMIXDIR/etc/*.<servernum> files.

What else would I need to do?

Thanks in advance
Martin

Yes you are right.
With onbar and legato networker on AIX, we respect following conditions :
1. rename the ixbar.<servernum> and oncfg_<server>.<servernum> file
2. export NSR_CLIENT=<original host from backup>
(networker has to find the right backup)
3. be sure you have the same ROOTPATH and all the other chunks to have the same path and capacity
(look into oncfg_* file)
4. Check with the onbar guide : Importing a restore to a different computer
5. If restore fails, you can additionaly set the onbar debug on (p.ex. level 7)
