I use Windows XP Pro and I wiped out my hard drive this past weekend and needed to reinstall the Operating System. *I didn't reformat the hard drive.*
Fortunately, I kept a backup which I created using Window's Backup Utility. Unfortunately, I backed it up to a CD-RW disk which I later found out is a no-no. It doesn't work. For some reason, it's designed not to be
retrievable.
So now I have all my data on an unopenable little windows backup utility file with a .bkf extension. What can I do do retrieve all of my important data?
