This DNB refer to Flexible Codes used for digital and analog systems.

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS AND AVAYA

#1 will work as the CFW code even if it isn't entered in FFC. The codes, since time began and before FFC was invented, are here... look at the bottom of the page:
Just for a test, try to enter #2 to see if that takes.

SS25 - Special Services for 2500 sets.

Pre-Succession 3.0 feature. It is used with FTR settings on analog lines to initiate FDN/CFW yada yada....I can't find anything that says you can change it.

do you have 2500 series sets built. I thought those were certain types of analog sets with built in features on the phone and the feature keys were pre-programmed. It's been a long time since I even saw a 2500 phone programmed.

Try and x out the option and see what it tells you. Unless you have 2500 sets programmed, then I would wait until the weekend or evening to try...or not. It's always easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission.

Hope this helps.

John

My mistake, it is still around, pkg 18.

I can't find where to change it in the system. I don't have that option in any of my systems.

Can you post your CDB and CFN and maybe we can drill down where this is.

I copied this thread to another poster that might know. I've seen this issue and it baffles me too.

I guess the Million Dollar question is where do you assign the Special Service character. Possibly LD 18?

OK, This is a common situation that happens on a new build. Theese codes are default ones that are present when building a "NEW" FFC table in LD 57.

The trick here is to provide a new "CHG" FFC code against any other FFC code such as CFHO with e.g. "##" etc.

Then use "OUT" FFC for the remaining codes, e.g. CFWD or CFWA. Print off the FFC table to list out what the defaults are. I think they are listed below?.

#######################################################

Overlay 57 is a new overlay dedicated to Flexible Feature Codes.
If FFC Package is equipped, the overlay can be loaded. Information for FFC can be entered at this time.

Defaults for the prompts are in brackets.

Feature Description FFC Issue 1.0

In order to allow FFC codes to begin with an "#", #1 for call
park, #2 for Speed Call Controller, #3 for Speed Call User, and
#4 for Permanent Hold are turned into FFC codes. This allows
then to be removed if codes begining with these numbers are
required for other features.

Prompts will only appear if the appropriate packages are
enabled. (ie. AWUA will prompt only if the AWU package is
equipped.)

The prompts to set up the FFC table are as follows:

REQ NEW/CHG/OUT/PRT
TYPE FFC
CUST xx - Customer number
FFCT YES/(NO) - Confirmation tone after FFC
(Prompted for NEW or CHG)
CEPT YES/(NO) - CEPT defaults defined (only
when REQ is NEW). If YES is
the response to this prompt
all the CEPT defaults will be
set up.
* REP* n/(<CR>) - One digit replacement for the
* "*" in the CEPT defaults. The
* CEPT defaults will be defined
* again with this digit used in
* place of the "*". Also the
* trailing "#" is omitted. The
* prompt will appear only when
* the response to REQ was NEW
* and CEPT YES. If nothing is
* entered for this prompt only
* the CEPT defaults will be
* created.
ALL YES/(NO) - Prompted for OUT. If YES is
entered all the FFCs will be
removed. If NO is entered the
overlay will prompt as normal
and the FFCs to be removed can
be entered.
CODE mmmm/(<CR>) - Where mmmm is the FFC type to
be altered. (ex - AUTH, OVRD,
etc) ALL means all FFC types
will be prompted. <CR> means
that no FFC types are to be
prompted. It returns the user
to the REQ prompt.

Finally, the error message "TYPE SS25" is because there is a SPRE code listed with a DN number in LD 15. This will be a DN conflict. Change the SPRE code to a different number. Don't leave it blank!. You can use up to a 4 digit number.

Best of luck.

All the best
