I have several 100 files that were saved from Outlook Express as xxxxx.eml
How can I open the files with outlook express, and save them as a text file to a default folder. So that I can read the text files into the database.
Basically I need help with creating an instance of outlook express, opening the file, then saving it as a text file.
The files are also still in the users email database(outlook express). I've tried linking to the database to import the data that way but I receieve the following message.
Microsoft Access can't run the Outlook/Exchange Wizard. Make sre you have either Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, or Exchange Server installed on your computer, and that you can log on to your mail account.
when i tried from an earier thread705-945216 which showed importing into access. I'd still rather open then save as text, due to I already written the code to read the text files.
Any Ideas, and code samples greatly appreciated...
I've tried renaming just the extension, but it added additional text from the email format. Which changed everything!
Thanks in advance...
