Hello everyone
We´re using NW6.5sp5 with ZFD7sp1 with iprint.

I have a bounch of printers and I wan´t to update the driver which is installed on the client machines for these printers. If I load this driver into the broker and assigns it to a printer, how can I make the client machine download this new driver ?

I tried removing the printer from the client machine and then logout/login (since I have iprint to run on login) and this worked, the new printer driver was pushed out to the client machine. But I wanna be able to push out the new driver automatically, how can this be done ?

In my experience, the new driver will be recognized and pushed down automatically. There's really no control that forces it to repush it (with NDPS remote printer management, you could do this - iPrint should do it automatically).

Note that I have found it better to push printers via Workstation package, and set the policy to run at user Login. Also I modify the iPrint.ini file to install the printer as a workstation printer, not a user printer.

I do push the printers via a workstation package and run at user login.
I have changed the driver for a Laserjet 1320 from PCL6 to PCL5 but it won´t automatically push the new driver to the workstations...

are you using ndps or iprint

the driver should auto update
iprint to be truthful seems more reliable at this.
afraid i havent used ndps for ages as iprint is the man
