I have a problem in that I can't figure out how to paste text saved as a jpg onto a picture background.... I don't want the rectangular edges of the image box to show ie only the letters themselves. I have tried deleting the background on photoshop and then saving it immediately however when I come to paste this onto my background the deleted backgroung shows itself as a white background... I,m also trying to do pictures this way too so I cant just use the text straight onto the page option, but I just can't figure out how to do it...is there a way to do this with dreamweaver? any help gratefully received..:(

i'm not sure if I understand it right...why not just make the jpg a transparent, that way anything underneath the .jpg will show through...you can make an image transparent via photoshop...but like always save a duplicate copy of the .jpg just in case... I have not failed; I merely found 100,000 different ways of not succeding...

I have now been informed that it is only the jpeg format that doesn't allow this transparency to be saved, I have since tried gif format and ...success. Thanks very much.
