how can I output a report to a text file. 1

Hi,

As part of a programmed email system that I have just got going, I need to attach reports of various activities to emails being sent to outfield workers.

I have searched the FAQs for outputting reports to MS word docs with no luck. Anyone got any ideas, or can point me in the direction please?

Multi ideas:

Mail merge to a doc on report generation, when creating the doc save the doc name in a variable

Attach that to your outlook object as an attachment

Or

On close of the report pop up a box asking if export required. if so then docmd.exortobject (or similar)

Sorry i dont have access on this pc so i cant give exact example but what you're after aint tough so someone here will come running to your aid if my hints dont work

SendObject with acFormatRTF may suit. Word will open RTF documents. Here are the details:

Thanks guys. I'll go with remou's link. It looks the most promising since there has to be no manual involvement.
