I have docs based on a template containing a footer that I wish to remain on the doc however on occasion I wish to print these docs without the footer appearing - can I do this without deleting the footer?

How can I not print a footer?

Hi Ephidrinia,
Setting the text colour to white might work (provided you're printing on white paper). When there are several sections with different footers that have the same style change the colour defined in the style to white and back to black when done.
Not a very elegant solution, it's just the first thing that comes to mind.
