How can I monitor data usage?

I am using Intel Core i5-3470 CPU @ 3.20GHz, 8,0GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics
MS Windows 7 Home Premium v. 6.1 64-bit SP1
I have Kaspersky Internet Security 2014, and I have Google Talk, Skype, and Memeo Backup Premium Pro running in the background.

Somehow I am chewing up 470MB of data transfer per day, which seems an awful lot for some 40min web surfing (reading the papers) in the morning and (usually) a couple of document uploads or downloads in a day. All that traffic goes to and fro through a Huawei WiFi wireless broadband modem which services my PC and my IPad Air, both of which are on most of the day most days. I figure that either some software on one of the machines is thrashing about on the internet all the time, or one of my neighbours is logging in to my modem. I feel I should discount the latter if only because the use is too consistent. If some usurper whipped in and downloaded Encyclopaedia Britannica one day that would show up, but this use is every day and fairly constant.

Is there some way to monitor the data flowing through the modem - what software is involved, where from, where to, how many MB, etc.?

Thanks
