How can i make msg boxes that have buttons other than the standard

how can i make the msg box say yes/cancel as opposed to yes/no (vbYesNo) to be more specific. TIA

There are a number of built in buttons such as vbCritical or vbOKOnly - if you use the intellisense you should be able to see the options available to you.

As TomKane said, there are a number of options available to you. Failing that, however, just make your own messagebox as a form and then show that form and return the right value as needed. Then it will say whatever you want.
