Hi!

I'm new to FLASH myself. I checked out the link of the FLASH movie that you want to emulate. It's pretty sophisticated. I would suggest that you get ahold of some FLASH tutorial CD's such as:

Lynda FLASH MX
Lynda Flash MX Intermediate
New Masters of Flash
VTC-Flash MX for designers

There are some good tutorials around, but like anything, it takes time to go through them. I would be surprized if anyone on this board would take the time to go step by step on how to build something like the Flash movie on your link. Its quite sophisticated. You may want to try some tutorials and then figure out some of the features on your own, then if you get stumped on one or two particular problems, then someone here may be able to help you. In other words, break it down into smaller problems to solve and address each particular one at a time.

It's a tweened mask effect - here's an example:

I've slowed it down and let the moving clip bleed over the frame border a bit so you can better see what's happening.

If you are new to flash you should check out

http://www.flashkit.com

They have lots of fla's that you can repurpose. You can do a search on photo gallery and i am sure you will find many.
