Hi all :?)

How can I make a Installation Diskette?

I am a novice W/ NW 4.11. I acquired this software through a colleague who thought I could benefit from learning the O/S. Anyway, here's the deal: My installation diskette is pooched. Can I make another one? What can I do to start the installation without it? Many thanks.

Fdisk your hard disk. Create a Primary DOS partition that is fairly small. Professionally should be equal to the amount of Server RAM + 100MB or so. REMEMBER to leave other space unconfigured. Install MS-DOS 6.22 and CD driver. I would also advise you 'REM out' the Himem.sys line in config.sys as this can cause memory issues.
Install the netware cd into the drive, type d: to change onto the CD drive and run install. This should get the procedure started.

Hope this helps.

I’m having problem having with CD-ROM driver. It is and IDE CD-ROM, the driver I’m using is cpqidecd.sys. It finds the CD-ROM, then says then give an error that file not found, and stops loading the rest. I checked the config.sys to check if it points to the right driver, everything looks OK. I even copied the cpqidecd.sys file from the other working server. Please help.

Thank you

I figured it out. I was missing some lines in autoexec.ncf.
Thank you
