I have a site with a new sales group that needs to download a customized 46xx settings file. When the phones are booted, how do I make them look for that specific DHCP string scope containing the customized settings file? Do I need a new voice VLAN? The site already has an existing voice vlan with phones working, I don't want the new sales group phones to pick up the configurations for that existing vlan.

Ok I think I got my answer. It's the port on the network switch that is tagged with the corresponding voice vlan.

The DHCP scope on the data VLAN will typically have the L2QVLAN set to the voice VLAN. If you want them on a different VLAN you will either need to manually assign the VLAN or attach them to ports with a different data VLAN/voice VLAN pair.
