Hi,

I haven't long had this firewall, and would appreciate if anybody can tell mw how I can allow a PC*anywhere connection through from a static IP.

Thanks

Mike

Basically quite simple and if you only let the incoming connection come from individual ip addresses relatively secure. mail me your address and i will send you the config my address is paulreed@callnetuk.com.

Here are the basics anyway,

Open up your POLICY MANAGER.
Click ADD SERVICE.
under PACKET FILTERS select PCANYWHERE double click and click OK to add the service.
under INCOMING select ENABLED and ALLOWED.
in the from box click ANY and ADD and OTHER select HOST IP ADDRESS and enter you STATIC IP that you are coming in from. click OK and OK.
In the TO box click ADD and NAT and enter the ip address that the PCAnywhere host is sitting on on your lan.

save the config.

Regards Paul

This is great, thanks. Now one other twist, I have another firewall between my Watchguard and the PC inside my network. It is an ISA Server, any suggestions on that one.
