I need to join data from a web service with data in a table. I have been told this can be done by writing a stored procedure that will talk to any non OLEDB data source and return a recordset, but I've never done this. Does anyone have an example?
Thanks!

I've also been told there are drivers out there that will convert a web service to ODBC, but have no idea how to implement this either.

I'm pretty sure I can't give an answer, but I will say that it would help those who might can answer if you can provide a little more information. Such as what type of database or web service would you be connecting to? Is it something built on MS SQL or MySql or what? Any info you can share might help get a better answer - and faster as well.

I understand. I was under the impression that the methods I mentioned above would have a standard syntax for web services in general and I could just substitute the correct parameters for my needs, but it sounds like that's not the case. I'll have to talk to the appropriate people here to get some answers.

Thanks!

Being as you're dealing with a web service, it may also end up being best to ask in one of the web design forums, specifically I'd say one geared towards whatever language the site is built in, or whatever language the database is based upon.

Thanks. It would be a sql server database, but I'll have to check on the rest.
