How can i import data from previous database?Pls suggest

Hi all,

I have a old database in which i have data in many tables. I have created a new database with few modifications to the older one.

Now i need all the data that is in the old database to the new database.

If someone can suggest......it will be of much help to me.....

It is difficult to make any meaningful suggestions without more information.

You have an old postgreSQL database and you want to migrate the data from it to a new postgreSQL database?

Is the old database still up and running on a server?

Do you have or can you create a dump file of the old data?

What kind of changes between the schema of each database need to be taken into account?

Is there a large volume of data?
