Hello,

How can I get import infromation contained in btrieve 5.10a into a file accessable by Access 2000 o Excel. I am trying to get data from the *.dta files. I have tried to use access to import the information but it fails. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in anticipation

Btrieve does not store any field information other than index fields. If you know the record structure of the data files, you can create a set of DDF (data definition files) and then using ODBC link the tables into Access.
Btrieve v5.10a did not have an ODBC interface. You can download a trial version of Pervasive.SQL 2000i (the latest version of Btrieve) from This will give you the ODBC driver to access the data and the tools to create DDFs for the data files.
